LinkedIn is the most recent social media platform to add the “stories” feature to its domain. In 2013, Snapchat introduced the world to stories. Since, the concept has been adopted on several other social media websites such as Instagram and Facebook. The stories feature gives users the ability to post temporary photos and videos that are only viewable for 24 hours. Instagram stories allow users to create polls, questionnaires, and post content that does not interfere with their main feed.
LinkedIn is a professional networking service that allows individuals to display their resume, search for jobs, and interact with other people. In 2020, LinkedIn rolled out their stories feature worldwide. The LinkedIn story feature allows businesses to connect on a more personal level through publishing short videos and images that can be up to 20 seconds in duration. Like Snapchat and Instagram, these stories disappear after 24 hours. Connecting with consumers on a more personal level is crucial to success as it helps to establish a relationship with your business’ target audience, and helps to build customer and business relationships.
With LinkedIn stories, users can add text overlays, add stickers, mention accounts, and share a question of the day! The story feature allows users to have light and fun conversations within a professional context. The more that you share, the more likely that your business is to grow.
