Mainstream Marketing and Coral Medical Health Spa are two community based organizations in Windsor who have created this 1 K Fun Walk - Lunch Hour Event to raise funds for enhancing the care and treatment of cancer patients in Windsor and Essex County (through education, cancer research or equipment).

 

The Tied to a Cause Event is a one hour event open to people of all ages and entry is simple. Participants must wear a tie (whether individually or as a team). Ties can be purchased or handmade and worn anywhere on the body (good judgment is encouraged). Prizes will be awarded for "fun tie" categories encouraging participants to be creative.

 

The TTAC route takes place along Windsor's beautiful waterfront & parkland near downtown Windsor. The walk starts at Bert Weeks Memorial Gardens at the corner of Riverside Drive and Parent Avenue and continues to the "finish line" at the mouth of Ouellette Avenue where food and refreshments for the participants will be available. At the end of the race, we will announce prize winners for the "fun tie" awards, which are awarded to both individuals and teams.

 

 

As this is a lunch hour event, not everyone will be able to participate in the walk, but that doesn't mean you can't come out and support our LOCAL cancer centre foundation in another way. A $5 lunch will be available to those who wish to simply join us for a quick lunch as opposed to participating in the walk and proceeds will be donated to the cause as well.
