Karen Alldis

Media Specialist

Karen Alldis has had a dynamic 25 year career in advertising and the staffing industry culminating with the launch of her own management consulting business in 1999.  Her experience has been national and international in scope.
 
Karen joins the Mainstream Marketing team with an Advertising Degree from Ryerson Polytechnic Institute, Karen spent 10 years in a variety of positions within select Toronto advertising agencies.  As traffic coordinator, her primary function was to ensure a staff of 60+ associates met their deadlines and goals.  She was also responsible for French translations in national campaigns and obtaining government approval if necessary.  Karens role expanded to media planner/buyer.  Comprehensive national campaigns often included newspaper and magazine print, radio, television, outdoor, and transit.  When it became obvious that Karen's passion was customer service, she tackled her new roles as an account executive and ultimately became a Business Development Manager.
 
Karen's experience and success in advertising provided the platform for growth in another industry - staffing.  During the next 12 years, she worked in the Canadian Headquarters of two international staffing corporations.  Karen was the Manager of Service and New Business Development at Manpower Temporary Services Canada.  She coordinated national marketing programs and mystery shops, was responsible for National Customer Satisfaction Surveys, and launched new corporate initiatives.  Aligning 65 branches in 10 provinces for uniformity in service delivery required Karen to conduct in-person compliance audits in every Canadian Branch.  Karens' ultimate position with this organization was that of Manager, of National Sales.
 
As Director, Corporate Accounts, Kelly Services, Canada, Karen launched the staffing industry's first Corporate Account Program.  The mandate was to partner and grow Kelly Canada's eight largest "premier" accounts.  Karen exceeded corporate expectations by growing these corporate accounts by 163% by the end of the first year.  Her commitment to customer satisfaction, customer retention and continuous improvement afforded Karen the opportunity to evolve even further.
 
In 1999, Karen launched her own management consulting company.  Her customer base remained national.  Karen continued to build loyal customers through honest and ongoing communication, gaining a comprehensive understanding of their needs and expectations.  Exceeding those expectations and creating a partnership with customers is a philosophy Karen has embraced throughout her career.
